Blackberry’s ‘Sharp Nights’

It is fashion with difference for Blackberrys, the premium men’s apparel brand as it announced the launch of the ‘Blackberrys Sharp Nights’ concept at a fashion extravaganza. The Sharp Nights campaign which recognises and pays tribute to the pack of distinctly sharp men through an integrated campaign, which was initiated by the digital medium, hosted on Blackberrys social media platform. The event which was held in New Delhi witnessed a fashion show to showcase Blackberrys Spring/Summer collection. The show stopper for the evening was actor, director Farhan Akhtar. The winners of the Facebook contest were also announced and handed out their prizes by Femina Miss India 2011, Hasleen Kaur.

While commenting on the celebration Nights, Yogesh Tiwari, VP, Sales & Marketing informed that they recently changed their tagline from ‘sharp.smooth.sure’ to ‘go sharp’. The word ‘Go’ in the tagline is a call to action; it connotes energy and passion which defines the youth of today. ‘Sharp’ is decoded as a visceral extension of a charismatic personality.

Toms Opens First Pop-up In The UK

American footwear brand, Toms, which matches every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes for a child in need, has open its first ever UK stand-alone retail space. The pop-up shop located in Seven Dials, Covent Garden, spans across two floors, and will be open for just two months.

The concept store will carry the brand’s spring/summer footwear collection and its newly launched eyewear range on the street level floor and the basement will act as a creative hub hosting a series of events, including the Debut Contemporary Exhibition, which features seven one-of-a-kind Toms eyewear art.

Toms will also be hosting a community fair on May 5, featuring live music, food, drink, and customising sessions, to celebrate the brand’s 6th birthday. Launched in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie, the brand has given more than 2 million pairs of new shoes to children in over 40 countries through giving partners across the world.

The Toms pop-up will be open at 69 Neal Street, London until June 28.

Debenhams store launched in Mumbai

After Gurgaon, Mumbai’s Phoenix Market City added another Debenhams store in its line. The new store stocks exclusive designer products at high street prices with a relaxed shopping experience. The British department store chain has ensured that this 22,000 sq. ft. store is as per Debenhams international standards. Aditya Nadkarni, Brand Head, Debenhams, said that they’re excited to finally come to Mumbai and bring leading international brands and designer collections to Indian shoppers. The store offers many brands across categories under one roof and hopes to become the one-stop destination for everyone looking to buy quality products from international brands.

Debenhams has a portfolio of over 100 successful designers and own brands. It is this portfolio of brands that gives it the ability to transfer their department store concept overseas. Debenhams has 66 stores in 25 countries outside the UK and Ireland. While establishing any store it adapts to the local consumer preferences or cultural requirements which make them easily connect with local customers. Another store in Bangalore is also on its way.
